How to take care of sensitive skin? Creams, cosmetics, hints

What are the characteristic features of sensitive skin type?

Generally speaking, sensitive skin is extremely delicate one. It tends to react strongly to irritants, oils or flavourings. Dehydration, redness, intense smarting, itching and the feeling of tightening often accompany people having sensitive skin. Each and every skin type, oily, combination or acne, can carry a burden of hypersensitivity cachet. How to take care of sensitive skin and how to prepare make-up suitable for such a skin type?

Cosmetics destined for sensitive skin care

First and foremost, sensitive skin type is extremely prone to solar radiation. In the light of the fact, that sensitive skin is not able to deal with UV radiation as successfully as for example oily skin does, solar radiation reaches to the deeper layers of dermis without the least difficulty, violating these at the same time and causing considerable damages. In such a condition, all creams that include high sunscreens appear to be fairly necessary. Basically, it is wort reaching for creams comprising not only of SPF (sun protection factor) but also of IR (infrared radiation) sunscreens which work as a peculiar shield protecting from, so-called, red radiation. Taking the benefit from such a cosmetics, we strongly prevent early aging of skin as well as counteract sun-inducted pigmentation marks and sunburns formation.

Secondly, sensitive skin can be irritated by some of cosmetic’s ingredients, such as paraffin wax, parabens, alcohol and pigments. Buying any care or colour product, let us be guided by the golden rule: the less, the better. Generally speaking, cosmetics with natural or mineral substances are the best ones for sensitive skin. In a case, that we purchase the particular product for the first time, it is advisable to conduct an allergy test beforehand. Draw your attention also whether the cosmetic was tested by dermatologists and ophthalmologists, and most importantly, if the product is destined for sensitive skin care.

Thirdly, sensitive skin should be purified only with delicate cosmetics. Once in a week, apply enzymatic peeling, the aim of which, is to remove unnecessary dead skin cells. Other impurities that gathered in skin pores can be eliminated due to herbal infusions or micellar lotions. As a day goes by, it is suggested to spray the face with thermal water, dry it with a tissue and apply a cream comprising a sunscreen or a classic moisturizing cream.

about

My name is Angelica Beggbie and I am a beautician having 14-year experience in practice. I started my cosmetic journey in 2001 in my hometown, Northampton. In the meanwhile, I went to the second continent in order to acquire new useful skills. During 8 years spent in the United States, I was developing my knowledge working as a beautician as well as attending numerous courses and trainings.

At some moment in my life, I decided to dedicate myself to dermocosmetics and specialized cosmetology. 2013 was the watershed year since I decided to return to our motherland and employ the acquired knowledge by setting up my own beauty parlour - Pearl of Beauty. I managed to implement my plans in September 2014. Since then, I am at your service.
